These Southern Smothered Pork Chops are cooked low and slow in a rich, creamy onion gravy until perfectly tender. It’s a cozy, homestyle dish that’s full of flavor and easy enough for any weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 4-6 Pork chops Boneless or bone in, ¾" thick (2-2 ½ lbs)
  • 2 1/2 cups Cream of mushroom soup
  • 3 tbsp Onion soup mix Or 1 packet of dry onion soup mix
  • 7 oz Mushroom stems and pieces Drained (Or use fresh mushrooms)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place pork chops in the cooker and season with salt and pepper
  2. In a large bow, mix condensed soups, onion soup mix, mushrooms, and water. Mix well. Pour mixture over pork chops.
  3. Cook on high for 4-5 hours, or on low for 6-8 hours.
  4. Serve pork chops and gravy with mashed potatoes or rice
