Pay as they grow hogs
What you pay us
Our pigs are all natural and are fed local PNW feed. We sell our pigs butchered as whole hogs and half hogs to meet your family’s
needs. Our prices are based on hanging weight, which is about 72% of live weight (averages 185lbs to 225lbs):
- Whole hog – $4.25/lb
- Half hog – $4.50/lb
The average price for a whole hog is $850, and a half hog is $500. We cap our prices at $950/$550 due to the higher weight caused by butcher availability.
How the butcher works
Our butcher dates are set on our pigs reaching a target live weight of 300 lbs (their final weight may vary). At that time, our
butcher (or you may choose) will contact you to go over your choice of cuts and what the cost to them will be. Their prices vary,
but there will be a slaughter fee of approximately $100, and then they charge approximately $1.00 a pound hanging weight to cut
and wrap. Smoke and cured products may have different prices. We use several local butchers based on scheduling availability.
Example of whole hog butcher price:
- 215 lbs hanging weight X $1.00 per lb = $215.00
- $215.00 + $130 slaughter fee = $345.00 butcher fees
Payment Options
We have payment options for everyone’s needs. You can pay in full at the time of the contract, pay a whole or half deposit outlined
below, or pay monthly with our Pay As They Grow Program.
The Pay As They Grow Program requires a $200.00 deposit for a whole hog or $100.00 deposit for a half. At that time, you will then
pay a monthly rate of a percentage of your remaining balance set by your butcher date. The animal must be paid in full before they
will be released from the butcher.
Your deposit is non-refundable, and once you reach half the pay-off amount of the animal, the monthly payments are non-refundable (but you may reduce your order size).
